FireWall |
A long time ago I wanted a firewall so I stumbled upon
floppyfw and since
I had the hardware for it I went ahead and buildt it in a plastic box. |
The plastic box was easy to
manipulate and thats why I chose it and it was finished in January 2001 |
Here it is with the lid on
Rate this firewall here! |
As you can see this setup
prevented me from sliding the rack under the table. |

September 2004
Time to make the 19" enclosure.
I find that Im pretty lucky when making stuff and when starting this
mockup The 3.5" FDD fit perfectly between two of the rods. |
As Im writing this I can see
this isnt the Firewall back but it looks a little like it and give you an
idea of how it was made |
The front with one FDD and the
option of another if I ever need to extend the firewall to two 1.44Mb
floppies |
Here you can see the insides:
A 50W 12V PSU
A ~12V to 5V Converter
A 3.5 FDD
A 586 HalfSize MoBo
Two 3Com NICs (Under MoBo) |
Again not really the firewall
but it shows the buttons I used and the lights I created |
Finished the firewall and is
almost installed, its not completely slided in as the switch in the back
was installed to deep to allow the Firewall to slide all the way in. |
